ALNMOUTH
"About" the village

Looking south down Northumberland Street in Alnmouth

The Alnmouth village Post Office. The History of Alnmouth, Newspapers and Craster Kippers available here! The main village street is called Northumberland Street. This is where the Church and the majority of local shops, tea rooms,  Pubs, Hotels and Inns are found.

For all visitors and even residents! There is a lovely view - when you get to the end of Northumberland Street - of the Sea, the dunes, the beach and Coquet Island.

Northumberland Street leads on to Riverside Road. A 'no through road' and, as the name suggests, it follows the river and leads you to it.

A Lifebuoy amongst the dunes.

The village golf course stretches from a few of hundred yards east of the Northumberland Street along the coast towards Foxton. This part of the coast is covered with dunes and there are large expanses of sands at low tide.
