GOLFING AROUND ALNMOUTH
"Alnmouth has two golf courses and one of which is England's second oldest Golf links course"

The original golf course, which had 18 holes, was constructed in 1869 - making it the second oldest in the country. This made Alnmouth a fashionable golfing resort.

It has now been split into two courses - Alnmouth village retains a fine 9 hole course adjacent to the beach and there is a challenging 18 hole course at nearby Foxton Hall, Alnmouth (A short walk along the coast path - or short drive by car).

Northumberland is rich in Golf courses and we are spoilt for choice - there are other courses nearby such as Embleton, Seahouses, Alnwick, Swarland, Linden Hall - some on the coast edge and some just inland.

I will put some photos on shortly!
